Remember this device at 2FA

When you sign in with two-factor verification (2FA), you can let Docly remember the browser for a period, so you only need your password there until the period ends.

Turn on "Remember this device"

On the 2FA step of the sign-in - whether the code comes by e-mail, SMS or an authenticator app - turn on "Remember this device" and choose how long: 7, 30 or 90 days.
Your organization may allow a shorter period, or turn the option off. Then the page says so.
Do not turn this on on a shared or public computer.

What is remembered

It is this browser that is remembered, also if you click the link in the e-mail on your phone. Another browser or another computer still asks for the code.
The period is counted from the day you turned it on. Using the browser does not make it longer.
If a sign-in comes from a country or an address we do not recognize, we ask for the code even though the device is remembered.

See and forget remembered devices

Go to Security in your Docly account. Under "Remembered devices" you see each browser and when it expires.
Forget a device you no longer use, or click "Forget all devices". Forgetting a device also signs out the sessions it started.

When devices are forgotten automatically

All your remembered devices are forgotten when you change or reset your password, when 2FA or the authenticator app is turned off, and when the account is closed. You get an e-mail when a device is remembered and when devices are forgotten.
